Michael George Allen
1969-2019
Michael George Allen, age 50, died Saturday, July 13, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 14 months, Mandy (Johnston) Allen and many members of extended family, friends, and co-workers.
Mike was born May 17, 1969 in Welling, England to June Hazel Allen. He was raised by June and his maternal grandparents George and Eileen Allen. For the first 30 years of his life, he enjoyed many different job experiences and was able to explore many hobbies and outdoor adventures, including a trip to Africa and several European excursions.
At the age of 30, Mike decided to move to the US, specifically Oklahoma City. He was successful in finding work in the information technology sector, self-taught in many areas. He spent several years working for American Fidelity, Chesapeake, and most recently celebrated 5 years with Hobby Lobby Stores in the corporate offices.
Mike loved animals, panning for gold and camping in Colorado, attending and dressing up for Renaissance Festivals, riding his motorcycles, coin collecting, and most especially dressing up and celebrating Halloween with a passion.
Mike had a great sense of humor and always had a teasing word to make others laugh. He had a kind and helpful spirit, always wanting to put others at ease. His earthly life was too short, but now he can enjoy an eternity with no pain, no tears, and praising the Lord.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2019 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Memorial Road Church of Christ with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
