Michael O. Flowers

Michael O. Flowers

1954 – 2024

Michael passed away on September 30, 2024, at his home in Edmond surrounded by family and friends. Michael has been on a journey for the last few years to stay with us and work every day to get better.

Michael was preceded in death by his Mother Ruth Flowers, Father Clinton O Flowers, Brothers Russell Flowers and Richard Flowers, Mother-in-Law Fannie Metcalf, Brother-in-law Dannye Metcalf and several beloved Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Michael is survived by his devoted wife Marinda and his Children Charles Patrick Odell Flowers and his wife Megan and Sarah Michelle Flowers and partner Jack Milligan. Sister Vicki Hope and husband Larry Hope and Sister-in-law B J Flowers and Sister-in-law Gwen Strother and husband Larry Strother, Uncle Charlie Maguire and Aunt Oneta Wolf, numerous nieces and nephews and Cousins by the dozens. Michael loved family and family gatherings and was blessed to be surrounded by them in his last days on this earth.

Mike grew up in Seminole, Ok and later joined the Army and came back to graduate from Oklahoma State University with a BS in Business Administration in 1978. Mike built a career in real estate and property management with Mike Zeeck at Spectrum Management services.

Mikes first love was camping and scouting and was blessed to guide his son Charlie and many other young men through the program to Eagle Scout. In 2017 Mike was honored to become a Trustee for Members of Churches of Christ for Scouting. Mike was so proud to represent the Church for this program.

Mike was Founder of the Trail Life Oklahoma Team in 2014. Served as the Inaugural State Point Man for Oklahoma from 2014 for several years. Mike served as in the Regional Vice President level in 2017.

President of Camp Asher in 2019. Camp Asher is a summer camp for young children and teens to have a fun and safe camping experience. This was a dream and focus of Michael’s to build a fun camp experience, create a lifetime of core memories, and build leadership skills of all kinds.

Mike loved to have fun and was able to work with his son for a while at Kalidy. I am not sure Charlie or Kalidy had any idea how much Mike could bring to the sales floor.

Charlie cherishes the memories and there are many stories that bring us smiles and will for years to come.

In lieu of flowers the family would kindly like you consider making a donation to Camp Asher in Michael’s memory by clicking here.

My heart is heavy at the loss of such a great servant of God. Mike was a fun, easy going person who could lighten the spirit of others. He will be so missed by so many. Our love, deepest sympathy & prayers for Marinda, Charlie, Sarah & extended family. Rest in His sweet peace, Mike.
