Michael Donn Dolbow
1949-2021
Michael Donn Dolbow, age 72, entered into his eternal resting place on October 30th, 2021 with his family by his side. Mike was born in Wichita, KS on August 30th, 1949 to Don and Marie Dolbow. He attended Bishop Carroll High School and graduated in 1967. He then attended Kansas State University and graduated in 1971 with a Fishery Biology Degree. He worked for a short time at a fish farm in Colwich, KS. On August 1st, 1970 he married the love of his life Joyce Elaine Kessler and they were married for 51 years.
During their 51 years of marriage they had 3 children and lived in Monett, MO for 35 years. Mike worked as a district manager at Pizza Hut for 22 years and then he opened his own pizza restaurants-Gambino’s. Mike and Joyce moved to Edmond, OK 5 years ago to be closer to their children. Mike enjoyed many things throughout his life but some of his most favorite were fishing and Kansas State sports. He rarely missed his annual opening day of trout season at Roaring River with his fishing buddies. He lived his life for his family and friends. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mike’s faith in God was obvious to everyone who knew him.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents and brother Larry Dolbow.
Mike leaves behind his wife, Joyce of Edmond, OK; Son David Dolbow of Edmond, OK; Daughter Dana Dolbow of Okarche, OK (Center Family of Love) ; Daughter and son-in-law Nikki and Todd Pefferman of Edmond, OK. Grandchildren: Abigail and Olivia Pefferman, Dalton, Lena and Hally Dolbow. Great Grandchildren: Axton and Hartley. Brother and sister-in-law: Ron and Sue Dolbow of Andale, KS. Sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Ron Macklin of Seaford, DE. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass and Rosary will be at St. Francis of Assisi on Saturday November 6th, 2021 861 N. Socora, Wichita, KS 67212. Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Mass at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Center of Family Love-Residence of daughter Dana centeroffamilylove.org 635 West Texas Ave Okarche, OK 73762.
