1975-2022
Matthew Blake Francis, of Edmond, OK, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2022 after a brief illness surrounded by his family. He was born August 7th,1975 to Harry Francis Jr and Claudia Francis in Edmond, OK. He graduated from Oklahoma Christian Schools in 1993 and went on to earning degrees in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma and Management Information Systems from the University of Central Oklahoma.
Matt spent his career as an IT Manager for Farmer’s Insurance and Love’s Travel Stops. As a respected leader he built deep friendships and was loved by many co-workers and vendors.
Matt loved many things, the outdoors – loving to hunt, fish, and golf, his Sooners and Kansas City Chiefs, friends and co-workers and most of all his daughter Olivia, his family and his dog Stewie. He had an infectious sense of humor and was always the funniest in the room and had a direct line to many funny bones. He touched many with his hugs a grab of the shoulder and was generous and willing to help those he loved.
Matt touched so many and will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
Preceded in death by grandparents Harry and Fay Katherine Francis, Eugene and Geraldine Meacham, and his father Harry, Matt is survived by his daughter Olivia, mother Claudia, brother Jason and wife Kim, nephews Tyler and wife Chelsea, and Carson Francis and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be Monday, September 19, 2022 with family present to greet friends from 2:00 – 2:50 P.M. at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, Oklahoma with a celebration of life following at 3:00 P.M. A gathering family and friends will follow the celebration of life.
