Marie Loafman
1926-2018
Mary Marie Loafman was born December 17, 1926, near Chickasha, Oklahoma and left this world June 11, 2018, in Edmond, Oklahoma. Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Wayne Loafman; her parents, Herman and Mary Ragland; sister, Irene Thompson, one niece, one nephew and one great-grandson. Marie graduated from Pioneer High School in Grady County in 1945 and attended Blackwood Business School in Oklahoma City. She married Wayne on January 31, 1948, while living in Stillwater Oklahoma. They also lived in Oklahoma City, Lindsay and Edmond. On February 18, 2012, Wayne passed away while we were living at Tealridge Retirement Center in Edmond. Marie has three sons and daughters-in-law; Steven and Jann Loafman of Belton, Texas; Philip and Jane Loafman of Edmond, Oklahoma; and Randal and Merle Loafman of Wagoner, Oklahoma. She has four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be 9:30 AM, June 15, 2018, at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond with interment in Lindsay, Oklahoma.

Sending our deepest sympathies to the Loafman family from the Cooper kids , Gary, Carolyn , and Danna, from Lindsay,Ok. Remember what a wonderful couple Wayne and Marie were. It’s hard when we lose one parent but when we lose our last one it’s doubly hard. We lost Mom in August and still haven’t done anything with her home or contents.

We loved eating and visiting with her this past year ! She had the greatest sense of humor. She will be missed.
