1925-2018
Mary Frances (Teuscher) LeGate was born on October 16, 1925 in Edmond, Oklahoma to Louis Herman and Ernestine Grace (Peters) Teuscher. She attended school at Meridian High School in Meridian, Oklahoma. She finished high school in 1943 at Central State High School in Edmond, Oklahoma. During high school, she met and later married Cecil LeGate. They were married in 1945 after he returned from WWII. Mary worked for Bill Eischeid Pontiac as the bookkeeper for 18 years before going to work for the State of Oklahoma Agriculture Department as an insurance clerk, where she eventually retired. Mary was a long time resident of Edmond and attended the First Baptist Church in Edmond for 70 years. Mary was preceded in death by long time friend Bill Eischeid and Cecil LeGate. She leaves behind her 2 children, Patricia Lynn (Mark Maker) and Nancy Jo (Jim Ivins), 3 grandchildren, Mendalynn Dawn, Barry Alexander and Stacy Ann and 5 great-grandchildren, Sandra Lynn, Jarret Edward, Katelynn Dawn, James Lyle, & Maya Anne. She has several great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister, Dorothy Marquardt, and Dorothy’s daughter Carol Sue Mosely. Many Thanks to the entire Eischeid family, Mosely family, Betty Hoskins and her Sunday School class at the First Baptist Church of Edmond for their continued cards, visits and phone calls which meant so much to her.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 8, 2018 at First Baptist Church with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, OK.
