Anne Donwerth Pogue passed away peacefully at home in Edmond Oklahoma on October 8th, 2020. Born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on May 1st, 1943 as Mary Anne Chartier, she was the second of five children from the late Vera and Earl Chartier.

At an early age she moved with her family to Coweta, Oklahoma where she graduated from high school in 1960. She married Charles McIntosh of Coweta and they moved to Oklahoma City in the early 60’s where she adopted his daughter Karen, and they had two sons together, Chip and Lance. She later married Gene Pogue of Edmond in 1994.

She attained her real-estate license in 1973, and the same year she designed and built a modest home in OKC in the Silver Lake addition. She moved to Edmond in 1980 and again designed and built a home that received recognition for some of its specialty features.

Anne was a real-estate agent and broker in the Oklahoma City and Edmond area for

nearly 40 years. She was realtor of the year in 1983 and again in 1988 and received

numerous other awards during her career.

Anne was a gourmet cook and often participated in cooking events and occasionally taught cooking classes in Norman, Edmond and on the TV broadcast for UCO. She loved to host informal parties and display her latest dish.

In her retirement years she loved to travel with Gene and her favorite destination was Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. This was her annual six week get away from the winters of Oklahoma.

She is survived by her husband Gene Pogue of Edmond, her children Karen McCalib of

Austin, Tx. Chip McIntosh of Coweta, Ok. and Lance McIntosh of Edmond, Ok. many grandchildren and great grandchildren, her brother Jack Chartier and wife Nita of Coweta, sister Linda Mason and husband Richard of Edmond, brother Gary Chartier of Tulsa, and sister Lawana McDaniel of Tulsa, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at “Mathews Funeral Home” in Edmond, on October 17, 2020, at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be offered to “Edmond Mobile Meals”.
