My dear brother Marty, all i have now is the memories, but good times well spent! Now go to our parents who are waiting on you and remember you will always be dearly loved and sadly missed.
Our loss of Marty on this earth is Heaven’s gain…I was a co-worker and friend of Marty’s for many years. He was one of the nicest people I’ve known. Everyone relied heavily on him at work due to his depth of knowledge and thoroughness on projects. We sat right across from each other and had many nice conversations about work, family, pets, and life (except we didn’t always agree on politics :)) and it helped make our work seem like a family. He was a devoted family man and loved his wife Lydia and daughter Maddie and his beloved dogs Beau and Chance. I will miss him dearly and I know that he will continue to watch over his family in the role of guardian angel from Heaven. May God give peace and comfort to his family and bless them with loving memories. ?
Very sorry to hear of Marty’s passing. I worked with Marty in CR at Tinker in his early days on base. Was always a delight to work with and always a gentleman. May God comfort his family.
Hi Beth,
It is 2024 and I just found out about his passing! The only thing I would like to add to your comments about Marty is his love of cart racing. He really liked that sport.
Very sorry to hear of the loss. He will be greatly missed by all who worked with him and knew him.
Marty was a true gentleman & professional in ever sense of the words. A joy to work with @ Tinker in E-3.
May God hold family close during this time of sorry.
I am sorry to hear that Marty passed away. I knew him when he first came to our engineering section at Tinker and worked with him often after leaving my Civil Service post. It was always a pleasure to work with him. He was not only very professional but of good nature and pleasant in the way he engaged others. I will surely miss being able to call or drop in on him.
My deepest sympathy to Lydia and Maddie. We all met through the Central Oklahoma Golden Retriever Club. Marty was a really good guy. Always there to help with anything. He was a pleasure to be around at training, events, etc. He was truly a “golden” person. I will miss him.
May God give you strength and your memories give you comfort.
Worked with Martin many years ago in CR at Tinker. He was a very respectful man and was kind to everyone. Prayers of comfort to his family. God bless.
Marty (Martin) was my nephew (my sister’s son). He was a gentle man, a great son, husband and father who dearly loved his family, his parents and his younger brother. I know that his mom and dad were with waiting with Jesus to welcome him to his eternal home! I pray for God’s peace that “passeth all understanding” for Lydia and Maddie during this difficult time.

My husband, Kevin, and I are very sorry to hear of Marty’s death. My brother, Steve Kramer, was also grieved at the news. Marty was my cousin (our mothers, Lila & Ruth, were sisters) and I have fond memories of our childhood years. We offer our prayers for and condolences to the Shirey family.
Sincerely,
Shannon Kramer Langellier
I am sorry to hear of Marty’s passing. I worked in the Seattle area on AWACS and frequently spoke with Marty on the phone. He was always kind and cooperative. I appreciated his willingness to help me whenever I asked. He will be missed by many.
Marty was my 1st cousin; his mother (Lila) and my father (Bill) were siblings and I always enjoyed hearing my dad tell stories of when he was a single man and young Marty was his little buddy, tagging along behind him on “big brother” adventures. I will remember Marty for his kind ways and quiet, good nature. I’m happy to know the last words we shared were “Love you, cousin.” Sending much peace and comfort to his wife Lydia and daughter Maddie, his brother Sam and the entire family.
