Margaret Rose Richter
2021
Margaret Rose Richter passed away in the loving arms of her parents on March 19th, 2021 and was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus at 2:05 pm due to her body failing her. Margaret Rose, “Maggie”, was born on January 20th, 2021 at OU Children’s Hospital in OKC. She came into the world in a rush via an emergency C-section. She was born at 26 weeks and 5 days gestation at 5:10pm, weighing 15.2 oz and was 10.6 inches long. Maggie was the answer to prayers for her family. She loved to listen to her brother sing, be read too, and to be cuddled by her parents during her time in the NICU. Maggie was extraordinarily strong and brave; She endured more than any human could possibly imagine. She gave us 58 days to love and enjoy her fighting spirit. During her time on Earth, she touched many lives, was loved deeply by family and friends, and gave us a lifetime of love and learning in return.
Maggie is survived by her parents Brian and Grace Richter, her older brother Blake, paternal grandparents Steve and Christel Richter of Norman OK., her maternal grandparents John and Ann Morrical of Norman OK., and multiple Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and extended family.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at OU Children’s Hospital by asking that memorial donations be made to the OU Children’s Hospital NICU in Maggie’s name. A donation to the Children’s Hospital will give Maggie’s life further purpose, as this will help many children in the future. You may follow the link Donate to General Childrens Fund (classy.org) and choose the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Maggie’s name. Donations can be given anonymously if desired. If you prefer, a check can be made out to Oklahoma Children’s Hospital and mailed to:
