and the Edmond Church of Christ. They shared 73 years together until his passing in 2019. She was born January 23, 1925, to Bill and Audrey Shaffer in Wichita, KS. She was the first of six children and was depended upon to help her mother with her younger siblings. In her years on earth, she lived through many historic events of the 20th and 21st centuries. The Great Depression and World War II affected her life as it did many Americans. Mother lived her life with a great love for all around her; she had a strong spirit, a great sense of humor, could stand up for herself, and enjoyed her iced coffee. She lived her many roles as a daughter, sister, wife, teacher, missionary, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother with grace, devotion, compassion, and love. She will be missed.
