Lucille Ruby McShane
1928-2018
Lucille was one of four children born to William and Emma (Frickenschmidt) Gerken. Lucille was born on October 13, 1928 in Fairmont, OK.
Lucille entered into the covenant of God’s Grace by the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on November 4, 1928 at Zion Lutheran Church, Fairmont, OK, Rev. Henry Mueller officiating.
Lucille reaffirmed that covenant by the Rite of Confirmation on March 29, 1942 at Zion Lutheran Church, Fairmont, OK, Rev. Elmer Pittelko officiating.
Lucille married the father of her children, Robert Rudiger, in 1947. They were married for 29 years. God blessed their marriage with five children. Lucille later met and married Jim McShane on August 18, 1979 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Oklahoma City, Rev. Lester Hall officiating.
Our Lord brought Lucille to her heavenly home on January 29, 2018 at the age of eighty-nine years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her sisters Florence and Ethel, her brother Arnold, and her daughter Cynthia Anne.
Surviving her are her daughters Teresa Darrow (and husband Scott), Karen Taggart (and husband Blain Carlock), Teresa Hackett (and husband Rick), Jacqueline Meeks (and husband Jim), her sons Christopher Rudiger (and wife Beverly), Leland Rudiger (and wife Carol), Timothy Rudiger (and wife Kelly), Christopher McShane (and wife Lindsay), eighteen grandchildren, and twenty-two great–grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family receiving guests from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home Edmond, OK.
Christian Burial will be on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Edmond, OK, with internment at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, in Fairmont, OK.
