Lovenia Louise Miller
Lovenia Louise Hamby Miller, 91, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away on August 18, 2023, of natural causes.
Lovenia was born on August 8,1932 to Clarence and Osia Hamby in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. After attending Dollarway School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas Lovenia moved to Houston Texas where she met and married Ancil Edward Anthony Jr. going on to have three daughters, Deborah, Patricia and Cynthia.
Early on Lovenia and Ancil divorced leaving her the sole parent responsible for raising the three young girls. Although she had to work in order to support the family financially, she was a wonderful and loving mother and was always there for her girls. Through the years Lovenia worked as a switch board operator, model in magazine and television ads, furniture saleslady and later an insurance agent.
Lovenia as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses had a deep love for her God Jehovah and his word the Bible. She shared her faith with as many people as she could. Even in her later years she spoke of her beliefs at every opportunity.
Lovenia always had a love of art and was an amazing sculptor and artist. She also enjoyed flowers and nature, often sitting outside watching the birds listening to them sing. She felt like the birds were singing songs for her personally and she would often sing back. Lovenia loved visiting and talking with her grandchildren over the phone. She will be missed dearly.
