Lori Jan Mingo
Lori Jan Mingo, 59, of Bellville, TX, was received by her Heavenly Father Monday, May 6, 2019 at home. She was born January 19, 1960, in Edmond, OK, to Bob and Darlene McVay. She married John Mingo in June 1993 and he followed her to their heavenly celebration just three days later. Surviving are her brother Larry McVay and wife Debra of Oklahoma City, her niece Brooke Smith and husband Lindsay of Tulsa, OK, her nephew Bobby Joe McVay and wife Kelli of Andover, KS, her niece Krissi Farrimond and husband Patrick of Albuquerque, NM, her grand nieces and nephews Ainsley and Marin Smith, Cash McVay, Chase and Lauren Horton, Audrey and Quin Farrimond, her cousins Bobby Lindsey, wife Cindy and son, Zane. Jerry Lindsey and wife, Michelle, children, Amber and Robert; Michael Lindsey, Rachelle Ketchum, husband Brent and son, Zane and her Uncle, Ralph Lindsey. Lori’s mom and dad preceded her in death. Lori was a beloved wife, a best friend to her mother, the apple of her daddy’s eye, a loyal sister and a devoted Aunt. She graduated Magnum Cum Laude from the University of Central Oklahoma. She went on to get a master’s degree in International Business from Thunderbird. Lori spent her career driving large global projects for Price Waterhouse Coopers and IBM. A longtime resident of Midnight Star Ranch in Bellville, TX, Lori was an accomplished horsewoman with a big heart for her furry friends, especially dogs. She traveled all over the world and lived in Holland for several years. She enjoyed curling up with a good book and reading into the wee hours. She was a faithful woman who loved Jesus and family with all her heart and soul. She will be dearly missed.
Services for Lori and John are 10:00 a.m. Monday May 20, 2019 at Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond with interment to follow.
