Linda R. Wood
1947-2017
Linda Rae Wood was born August 23, 1947 in Oklahoma City, to Ray Edwin and Irma Lee (Treece) Wood. She attended Oklahoma City Schools and graduated from John Marshall in 1965. Linda was a student at the University of Central Oklahoma for two years. She worked at Baptist Hospital in the dietary department until her retirement in 2011. Linda and her mother resided in Edmond until their move to the Assisted Living in 2011. They became residents of Autumn Leaves Memory Care in 2014 where Linda remained following the death of her mother in 2015. Her father passed away in 1990. Linda was an active participant in all the activities at Autumn Leaves and received excellent care.
She is survived by numerous Treece, and Wood families, and by her Aunt Kathy Treece.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at the Edmond Church of Christ, 9th and Bryant, Edmond with Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family is grateful for the excellent care given to Linda in her final years by all the staff at Autumn Leaves. Thank you for making her life interesting and for involving her in many activities throughout her stay. A very special thank you to Sooner Hospice for the excellent care and compassion the past few months, and especially during her final days.
