Lea Marie Montgomery
August 8, 1989 – August 6, 2020
Lea Marie Montgomery passed away unexpectedly on August 6, 2020 at the age of 30. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 8, 1989 to Drs. Keith and Debra Montgomery. She attended Monte Cassino for middle school and went to Bishop Kelly High School, graduating class of 2007. She played volleyball all 4 years of high school on a highly competitive team. She pursued her studies at the University of Oklahoma with plans of completing a nursing degree. She always enjoyed the medical field working at St. John’s Hospital and then worked in the dental field in Tulsa. Lea Marie struggled with chemical addiction. Her family and she moved to Edmond, Oklahoma in 2015. It was at this time she reached out for help and found Hope is Alive, a faith-based program. She worked the program for over 3 ½ years, where she developed many special and lasting friendships. She began as a resident, later was a house manager, followed by becoming administrative assistant to one of the Founders. The program turned her life around and she believed in and promoted the program to many people. Recently she returned to Dental Care of Edmond, where she very much enjoyed working with the Doctors, staff, and patients, while continuing her education in nursing. She loved life and participated fully in many activities, a strong swimmer, enjoyed snow skiing, rode western saddle horses well and loved adventure. She always enjoyed cooking and in this past year refined her skills preparing gourmet meals for moderate size groups of friends and co-workers. Her family was always important to her. She enjoyed being with them on vacations, visiting her numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and just being at home with her Mom, Dad, Alex, and Roberto. She touched the lives of many people. Her smile and personality were infectious. She will be forever loved and missed by all.
