Dean Ware experienced the best day of his life on September 28, 2017 when he left Alzheimer’s behind and met his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Lawrence Dean Ware was born on September 24, 1939 to Lawrence Walter Ware and Ruth Etta Smalley Ware in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.

Dean was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 525 for 57 years. He was a journeyman welder- an expert at his craft. Dean built his first house at 23 years old and built two more family homes in later years. He was a true “shade tree fix-it man”. Dean could fix anything. As a teenager he rebuilt the engine in his 57’ Chevy and did all the family car repairs throughout his years. He showed his love for his family by repairing a squeaky door, a leaking faucet, or a worn out carburetor. He could do it all- easily and well.

Dean learned to love nature as a boy scout. He loved being in the mountains and spent his happiest days on a creek bank catching trout. He loved pocket knives and flashlights. A boy scout is always prepared.

A talented man, a good man, a man who loved the Lord and led his family and others to Jesus. He was a member of the Edmond Church of Christ for 31 years. Dean is proceeded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Ruth Ware, his brother John Benton Ware of Edmond, OK, and his baby brother Charles Arthur Ware of Wynona, OK.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda Ware of Guthrie, OK and his children Patrick and Jamie Smith of Wartburg, TN, Kenny and Robin Miller of Amarillo, TX, David and Karalyn Ware of Dallas, TX. 11 dearly loved grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Phylis McWherter of Broken Arrow, OK and Betty Ware of Edmond, OK. Dean has fought the good fight, he has finished the race, he has kept the faith. (2 Timothy 4:7)
