Lavona “Mae” Roe
1939-2018
LaVona Mae Roe was born on July 4, 1939 and went to meet her Lord on May 30, 2018. She was born in Longrun, Missouri, and at age 10 moved to Washington, Oklahoma. On July 4, 1959 she married Wesley Roe. The Fourth of July is a special time for the Roe Family because it is a celebration of both of their birthdays as well as their anniversary. They raised Sam, Weselle, and James in Edmond, Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband Wes, her children Sam, Weselle, James & his wife Belinda, her cherished grandchildren Jason & his wife Colleen, Natalie, Amanda & her husband Josh, Madeline, Jaken, Aaron, and Micah, and her great-grandchildren Mathew, Chloe, Lux, and Ryker. Mae is also survived by her two baby brothers, Paul & David, and many loved nieces, nephews, and treasured friends. We will miss you and see you soon!
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Monday, June 4, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Memorial Road Church of Christ with interment to follow at Waterloo Cemetery in Edmond, OK.
So sorry to hear of Lavonna’s passing. I worked with her at Citizen’s Bank. I remember her as a sweet, soft spoken person. My prayers go out to the family.

I am sorry for your loss of your mother. I hope that what I am about to ask is not out of place, but was your mother the daughter of Yvonne?
