Adair, Larry obit and  front of folderLarry Lloyd Adair, 80 of Edmond, Oklahoma passed December 28, 2012. Larry was born June 17, 1932 in Chandler, Texas to Dan and Ruth Adair. Larry married the love of his life Polly Wage and from that union they were blessed with three daughters. They moved to Edmond in 1954 where he attended Central State College, played football and earned an Industrial Arts Teaching Degree.

Larry taught at Harding High School until he started Adair Mattress and Upholstery in 1964 at 908 East Campbell. The business grew and in 1967 he moved the business to 611 West Third and changed the name to Adairs Sleepworld, which is still in business today owned by Robbie Weeden.

Larry and Polly were members of Poplar Church of Christ in Guthrie, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his wife Polly, parents Dan and Ruth, brothers Doyal and Bobby Adair, son in law Rick Chadwell.

He is survived by his children, Susan Adair, Vicky Chadwell, Pam and Craig Compton.

Grandchildren, Chad Chadwell, Lance Chadwell, Kevin Chadwell, Shane Chadwell, Stephanie Lipscomb, Brian McBrayer, Abby Brown and Adam Compton.

Great Grandchildren, Mikaela Joy Motherwell, Johnathan Alexander Motherwell, Meilani Alicia Ann Chadwell, Hailey Ann Chadwell, Nicholas Chadwell, Leala Aria McBrayer, Zeke Daniel McBrayer, Kristin Chadwell and Brandon Chadwell.

The Family would like to thank all care givers throughout his battle with Alzheimers. Special appreciation to Kendall House and Sooner Hospice during his final days.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m., January 3, 2013 at Matthews Funeral Home, 601 South Kelly, Edmond, Oklahoma. Interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery.
