Landon Wayne Willis
1984-2021
Landon Wayne Willis, 37, died on August 23, 2021, to the heartbreak of so many whose lives he touched. Landon was born on January 23, 1984, to Kirk and Tamie Willis in Edmond, OK and was a life-long resident of Edmond. He was called to a life of service for others even in his youth and exemplified that as an young adult by joining the Marines and recently becoming an Oklahoma City police officer. In 2003, during his senior year at Memorial High School, he joined the Marines attending training while completing his last year of H.S. and graduated from boot camp in San Diego, Fall 2004. He went into the reserves and attended Oklahoma Christian University and later graduated from Southern Nazarene University. Landon was devoted to his children and family. He lived his life through the lens of his love and joy for his children. He loved doing simple things with his children such as, garage selling on Saturday mornings, watching Dude Perfect, playing board and video games and biking. Landon was accepted to the Oklahoma City Police Academy, graduating in December 2020. This was more than a profession, it was his vocation, and he was so honored to serve. He is survived by his four children Lexie, Luke, Logan, and Aleia; his parents Kirk and Tamie Willis; siblings Tiffany Dacus and Garrett Willis, brother-in-law Zack Dacus, and numerous extended family who all share in this sorrow. Donations in honor of Landon can be made to:

TAMIE & KIRK:
We can never be ready for the sad news of the passing of a child or a spouse. When we reflect on the positive memories, it will provide a source of healing strength. I send my love.
Kindergarten through senior year of highschool… That’s how long i knew Landon. He was always so shy and quiet until you got to know him. I will forever remember all the times he and Justin came and hung out in my driveway. We would just hang out talking about all kinds of things. Sometimes we would walk around the neighborhood, but we mostly sat in my driveway making jokes, trying to figure out who Landon had a crush on (he would never tell us). I also will never forget the time he got me ice after I got hit in the head with a golf club. The Landon I knew was kind, and funny, and considerate. I know that many will miss him. Sadly, I wont be able to be at the funeral, but I will be watching. I will be praying for you all in the days to come. Nothing prepares you for a time like this, and I cannot imagine what your hearts are going through. I am Praying for God to comfort you, and give you peace beyond understanding in this difficult time. A peace that can only come from God.
Just got the news the morning of Landon’s service. Our hearts are broken for all of you. Thinking of you all when he was growing up and seeing the precious man he became and the many people he has touched throughout his brief life is a legacy of love. We love you all. We know God is holding each of you close to his
Heart. We shall continue to pray for all of you in the days ahead. Love you deeply. Don & Martha
