1925-2018
Kermit Glen Williams of Edmond, peacefully passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018. Kermit journeyed through this life for 92 years. Kermit was born September 8, 1925 near Kingfisher, OK. He was one of the fourteen children born to John Robert and Carrie Nugent Williams.
Kermit worked 38 years with ONG and entered the Marine Corps in 1943, and proudly served during WWII. He had a passion for the Lord and his family. He loved traveling and seeing new places. Kermit was very wise and so witty. He enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, dominos, playing Skip-Bo (especially with his wife Lillie Mae), other card games, and watching football.
Kermit is preceded in death by his wife Lillie Williams, daughter Delores Williams, and grandson Mark Williams.
He is survived by his children, Howard Williams, Ron Williams, Carol Gleba and husband Chuck, Jim Selanders and wife Micki, Ben Selanders and wife Ysabel, Laura Curtis and husband Jerry; sister Dessie Burpo; grandchildren Dale Selanders, Andy Selanders, Matthew Curtis, Reneé Selanders, Blake Selanders, Crystal Kuppinger, Brooke Williams, Ben Williams, Travis Brashear; great grandchildren Ethan, Kassie, Myshae, Gavin, Emma, Preston, Alayna and Brett; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday, July 30th at Matthews Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 31st at Spring Creek Assembly of God Church, with burial to follow at Crescent Cemetery.
