1949-2017
Kent A. Knox, age 68, was born February 22, 1949 in Fort Scott, Kansas to Paul and Lova Knox. After battling a long illness, God took him home on Friday June 16th. He is survived by his wife of 25 years Joy Knox; his children: JP Knox and wife Kacey, Cassie Knox, Michelle Rolette and husband Larry, Tim Hickey and wife Adrienne, and Jeremiah Hickey; his grandchildren: Abigail, Eli, Autumn, Everett, Keaton, Makaila, Madison, Seth, Hailey, and TJ. Kenny served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army and served as a trooper in the Oklahoma Highway Patrol for 31 years with his close friend and inseparable partner Mike Chappell. Kenny loved his horses and team roping. He was a baptized member of Nowata First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, OK.
