Kaye Ann Skinner
1940 – 2025
Kaye Ann Skinner passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on March 15th, 2025, at the age of 84. She was born in Crescent, Oklahoma on December 20th, 1940, to Braxton and Mae (Campbell) Ryland, and graduated from Paul’s Valley High School as an accomplished student and a cheerleader.
She was smart, funny, and enjoyed the simple things. Throughout her life, she maintained a childlike joy. She loved to laugh, read, play cards, work puzzles, and win at bingo! She was an enthusiastic sports fan, always cheering on the Chiefs and The Thunder, especially when Russell Westbrook was on the team. Kaye worked for many years at the Oklahoma Tax Commission, until she retired wondering how bored she would be. But three grandkids and four Yorkies kept her plenty busy!
Kaye is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 40 years, Johnny; her parents; and sister Kathy. She is survived by her daughter Kelley Bendle of St. Louis, Missouri; son Jay and his wife Ashley Davis of Oklahoma City; grandchildren Jackson, Quinn, and McKenna; as well as many relatives and friends. She is loved and will be missed by all.
A private memorial service is scheduled at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel, Edmond, Oklahoma.
Kelley, Jay, Keri, Kris and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers for peace during this difficult time. Was very glad I got to see Kaye at Justin’s wedding.
I won’t be able to make it on Monday but know I’ll be thinking of you all.
