June Lloyd

June Lloyd, 60, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021. June was born in Folkston, Georgia on May 21, 1960, to William Lloyd and Irma Smith. For 25 years June worked as a dental assistant and for the past 10 – 15 years she was the office manager at UltraClean of Oklahoma. She was also, briefly, an instructor at a local Dental Assistant School.
June was a fun-loving mother and grandmother. She loved her essential oils and believed they are a healthy alternative to medicine. She was a Christian woman who wanted her service to be uplifting while leading as many people as possible to Christ.
June loved her grandchildren and was adamant about taking them to breakfast on each of their birthdays. She, also, loved Mary, her pet dog, who will be buried with her today. Springtime was her favorite time of year, and she loved the birds that it brought.
She loved being with her sisters and mother and made it a point to be with them as much as possible, telling and listening to funny stories with her sister, Linda. She is the oldest of five kids and was proud to help take care of them when she was younger. She thought of and considered her daughter and son in-law as her own kids.
She would never miss any family gathering or any special occasions especially birthdays, when there was always a family gathering. She was the heart of our family and will be terribly missed. We all know she is enjoying Paradise with Jesus and we all look forward to seeing her again in Heaven.
June was preceded in death by her father, William Lloyd, stepfather, Frank Gillispie, grandmother, Mary Crews, nephew, Brayden Slaugh, and grandparents, Harry and Stella Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sons; Eric Banks and wife, Subrina, and Aaron Banks, daughter, Allison Morris and husband Jared, mother, Irma Smith, brother, Michael Lloyd, sisters; Linda Blackwood, Tammy Slaugh, and Karen Soria, grandchildren; Carmen Banks, Brennon Banks, Aaron Banks, Madeline Banks, Lilly Morris, Mitchell Morris, and Zach Morris, along with a host of other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 11, 2021, at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery.
