Judy Joan Perry Phipps was born to Ed and Joan Perry of Lincoln, NE, June 23, 1956. Judy passed away April 27, 2014 surrounded by her adoring family. She was an inspiring teacher, a passionate artist, a Master Gardener, volunteer and above all, a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Judy lived her life for the happiness of others and will be deeply missed by her husband Rand Phipps (Edmond, OK), her daughter Laura Phipps and husband Alex Abdo (Brooklyn, NY), her son Perry Phipps and wife Maggie Phipps (Dallas, TX) and daughter Emily Lyon and husband David Lyon and beloved grandchildren (Tulsa, OK). Her kind heart and generous spirit will also be missed by all of her family, friends and everyone else whose life she touched. LOA.

I am so sorry to hear of Judy’s passing. She was a lovely and beautiful lady and will be missed by all. It is hard to understand why and how this could happen to such a young person like Judy. Someone gave me this and it helped me in hard times and hope this will help to you.
God saw her getting tired, and a cure was not to be. He wrapped her in his loving arms and whispered “Come with me.”
She suffered much in silence, her spirit did not bend. She faced her pain with courage, until the very end.
She tried so hard to stay with us but her fight was not in vain, God took her to His loving home and freed her of the pain.

My heart is so sad. I think of Judy so often and prayed a miracle would happen. The Lord knows a beautiful angel when He sees one. I am so sorry for your loss Rand and your childrens.
Mrs Perry, Marci and all, Judy was a good friend and we all had such fun at the lake for birthdays and such. Four of us, myself, Judy, Cathy Peterson and Polly Hergert are the ones that can say we went from kindergarten through high school together and all have such good memories.
Her dad and Father have their arms wide open greeting Judy into His house.

I am deeply saddened over your loss. Judy was a beautiful person, inside and out. I will always remember her smile, soft spoken voice and spending time with her on Friday and Saturday nights yelling our hearts out.

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. Judy was a beautiful person, inside and out. I can remember all the fun times we had in junior and senior high.

I’m sorry for your loss. Nothing can really fully prepare us for the loss of a loved one. Whatever the case, the pain of death cannot be eluded, and its finality can be devastating. I’d like to share a few bible texts that have helped me with coping with the loss of a loved one. Isaiah 25:8,9 reads: “He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord will certainly wipe the tears from all faces….And in that day one will certainly say: Look! This is our god. We have hoped in him, and he will save us. this is the LORD . we have hoped in him. Let us be joyful and rejoice the salvation by him”. Furthermore, Revelation 21:4 reads: “He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more”. Some ask: “If a man dies, can he live again?” “When will the dead arise?” Did you know that Daniel 12;2 reads: “Many of those asleep in the dust of the earth will wake up”. I hope these scriptures have given you some comfort and my condolences again.
