Juanita Jewell “Nina” Kannada Woodall, age 90, peacefully passed away on May 24, 2020 in Fort Worth, Texas. Juanita was born in Kusa, Oklahoma on December 14, 1929 to Isham and Maggie Best Kannada, the second of seven children. On February 25, 1949, she married the love of her life Weldon Ray “Woody” Woodall in Pampa, Texas. Together they had five children and were blessed with a large, loving extended family, who affectionately called her Nina.

In July 1958, Juanita was baptized in the Church of Christ. Her life was inspired by this call to Christ and she was known for her exceptionally generous nature, helping her family and those in need whenever she could. Throughout her life, Juanita worked in school and nursing home cafeterias in Edmond and Oklahoma City. Her hobbies included crocheting, making dolls, sewing clothes and crafting gifts for her family. However, nothing surpassed her great love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

After living her whole life in Oklahoma, Juanita moved to Fort Worth, Texas with her daughter Carolyn in 2015. Together, they greatly enjoyed watching golf tournaments, soap operas, crime dramas, and the Dallas Cowboys on TV. In December 2019, Juanita celebrated her 90th birthday surrounded by loved ones. Juanita and Carolyn lived together until her death.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Woodall; her son, Teddy Woodall; her parents, Isham and Maggie Kannada; and her siblings Hazel Allgood, Kenneth Kannada, and Eddie Kannada.

She is survived by her children, Carolyn Summers, David Woodall, Joanna and Mike Hamilton, and Ricky and Wanda Woodall; beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings, Arvil Kannada, Rosie Parker, and Suzie Kannada; and a host of nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and friends.
