1937 – 2024

Juanita Corabell Wickham was born to Jack and Lavenia Jumper in Faxon, OK on December 1, 1937. Juanita departed this life on May 4, 2024 at the age of 86.

Juanita grew up outside of Lawton, OK graduating from Lawton Highschool in 1956. She then married Roy E. Wickham on June 1, 1957. To this union 3 children were born: Jacquelyn Rose, Roy Eugene Jr. and Julia Lynn.

Roy and Juanita owned Wickham-Young Chevrolet in Temple, OK where Juanita started her bookkeeping career. Juanita later worked as a bookkeeper for the Bone Gin and the Temple Manor nursing home. Juanita later helped Roy in his automotive business and custom harvest business. Juanita and Roy later moved to Edmond, OK to be near family and were devout members of the Westwood Church of Christ. Juanita spent her days serving the church community with many delivered meals to those in need and tending to the church landscape. Other than spending time at all grandkids events, Juanita had a great passion for gardening. Many times, they were recipients of their neighborhood “Yard of the Month” award.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Lavenia Jumper and her daughter in law, DeAnna Wickham.

Juanita is survived by her husband of 66 years, Roy Wickham; brother Kenneth Jumper and wife Mary of Anaheim, CA; 3 children; daughter Jacquelyn Vardell and husband Joe of Anahuac, TX; son Roy Jr. and wife Kim of Fletcher, OK; daughter Julia Ruark and husband Kevin of Edmond, OK. 6 grandchildren; Alaina Hood and Husband Allen; Jennifer Kahla and Husband Josh; Chance Wickham and wife Tamra; Dusty Wickham and wife Daly; Madeline Smith and husband Brant; Jack Ruark. 6 great grandchildren; Zoey, Alex, Ava, Maddux, Parker, Deklin.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present to greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on May 8, 2024 at Westwood Church of Christ in Edmond, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Lawton, Oklahoma.
