  6. Memories of Mema- Waking up the mornings I spent the night and she would make me the PERFECT coffee. She was the reason I started drinking coffee. She always made us the best stocking at Christmas. I will never forget the Arizona trip. That was the longest trip ever–of course, it is when you have to stop every 1/2 mile so Mema can make a bathroom stop!

  7. My memory of Mema is that she would always tell me how much she loved my hair and how it was so awesome (LOL) not really…but she did always have something to say about my hair & how crazy it was and my tattoos & piercings (LOL). She just loved them so much!!! Also her Precious Moments dolls, TY beanie baby collection was ridiculous. And her amazing coffee, seriously. I can make coffee now and it taste nothing like hers did. Also she never missed anyones Birthdays and her Christmas’s were even better.

  8. My fondest memories of Mema surround the times I spent the night. She would walk me back to Papas room and turn on Boomerang for me. I would sit and watch Tom & Jerry for hours. Another memory I hold close to my heart is the July 4th we spent at Grand Lake. On the drive down Mema was so flustered and frustrated with Papas driving. She would comment and he would retort back with his dry sense of humor. But the thing I remember most is her willingness to give. She was always go the extra mile for a Birthday or Christmas no matter what. That will forever be her legacy.

  9. My memory of Mema is when I was rehabbing in Florida and she came out to be with me while I was dealing with this tough time. She knew I was having a tough time with my injury and was quick to say she was on her way. She would help with anything and that is what I remember most, how she was willing to help with anything

  10. My memory of Mema was when her and Papa came to Tampa my rookie year with the Yankees and it was our off day. Her and papa watched me shoot my first ever baseball card pictures. When I finished we sat there and watched Roger Clemens throw a simulated game because he was rehabbing. She thought it was awesome to be so close to the action.

My other memory was when they took me to Long Beach, CA for the Area Code games. I had severe tendinitis in my elbow and could barely throw. She helped me ice and do whatever we could to get my arm where I could pitch. She got my arm in good enough shape to be able to make it through the weekend. That was the type of lady she was. She would do whatever she could to help any of her grandkids.

  11. My memory was that she was a great mother and grandma. To my knowledge she never missed one of my football games growing up. There were a lot times I needed to call somebody and she was always the first one I called, she wouldn’t judge me but just gave me her opinion. She was really a great Mom. She really loved watching Brandon and Ty play baseball and football. I’m really glad I got to tell her that I loved her before she passed.

  12. My Mom also loved my wife and treated her girls like they were her own even the short time they were around each other.
