Johnnie Bernice Almon
1939-2013
Johnnie Bernice Almon passed away on Jan. 22, 2013. Her loving way and her laughter will be greatly missed. She was born in Henryetta, Oklahoma on October 19, 1939. She was a retired Caregiver and a long time member of Highland Park Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Perry Rose and Charlene Rose (Daughtery), sister Virgel Lee and son, Max Almon. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 15 years Dolphus Almon.
She is survived by her two sons William and Louie Almon, sister Patricia Sparks all of Edmond, OK. Grandchildren, Rylie Smith, Daven & Corey Blackburn of Edmond, Amber Almon of Woodard, OK, Clay and Clint Blackburn of Virginia and a total of 8 great grandchildren. Her aunt Maude of 90 years, and cousin Carol Miller of Muskogee, OK.
Viewing will be held Monday, January 28 from noon until 9:00 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond. Graveside services will be Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta, Oklahoma . Pastor Joe Rhodes will be officiating service. Services are under the Direction of Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, OK.
Bernice was a very loving and caring person that will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Praying for her family and sister Pat.
