In June, 2012 we here in Altus were hosting our 55th Class Reunion, and as John Sidney was the President of our Highschool Graduating Class in 1952; and as I was hosting this occasion in my home, I asked John Sidney if we would attend, and also speak to the attendees as the official greeter. His oration was so touching and well received by all. It was as if we were still in our senior year at Altus highschool, with Mrs. Peterson as our speech teacher, and John Sidney, as he was called, as our leader, and the day was filled with delightful reminders of the very good friend he was to all. On behalf of the Class of 1952, we know how much he will be missed by you as his family, and also by his many friends he made through the years. But, for Altus, Oklahoma, we are so grateful he spoke to our Class that one last time. Annelle Dobbs Barton
