John Mark Mingo
1960-2019
John was born in Rantoul, IL to John & Kay Mann Mingo on December 24, 1960. The family moved to Crown Point, NY in August 1962, and moved to Schroon Lake, NY in 1966.
John liked to play all sports including little league, baseball, and basketball, he also liked to hunt, fish, and camp in the Adirondack Mountains in New York. John loved to golf and won a masters tournament in Bellville, TX.
After high school, John joined the Marine Corp and traveled the world. He met Lori McVay in 1990 in Illinois and they were married on June 26, 1993 in Edmond, OK and moved to Texas.
John leaves behind his parents, John & Kay of Schroon Lake, NY. He is preceded in death by his sister, Jeanne, who passed on August 29, 2016, his brother James passed in September 2016, and his wife, Lori passed on May 6, 2019.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 20, 2019 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery Edmond, OK.
