John David Trimberger
1964-2023

John David Trimberger of Guthrie, Oklahoma was born on May 22, 1964, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. John passed away in his home on September 18, 2023.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Loretta, and Dave; his sister, Kathleen; two sons, David John, Dallas; and grandson John David. He is survived by wife, Teresa; his brother, Jimmy; sister-in-law, April; sister, Margret; daughter, Bailey, and 5 grandchildren; Anna, Loretta, Lawrence, Summer, and Sydney; and countless other loved ones.
John served four years in the Army National Guard, and he is remembered most for his time served in desert storm. John came home and obtained his license in plumbing, but he is known most for his years with Farmers Grain and Edmond Feed and Tack. John enjoyed spending time with his wife, Teresa, going to shows, spending time with his children and grandchildren, golfing, watching the OU games, playing chess, going to the casino, and playing poker with family and friends until the wee hours of the morning while enjoying his whiskey and coke. He was respected for always caring for family and will be remembered for always having a joke at the right time. John will be missed by all who knew him.
In Lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society.
Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m., Friday, September 22, 2023 at Matthews Funeral Home with family present to greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel Edmond, OK. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Cemetery Edmond, OK.
What a great guy. He was such a caring person. I went HS with John. I never heard him say anything negative about anyone. He was always so friendly back in HS up until I saw him last.
He was a great guy.
John, You will be missed by so many.
