hail JoAnnJoAnn went to be with her Lord on Feb.18, 2015. Born on July 29, 1931 in Blackwell, OK to Joe and Lorna Patton, JoAnn was one of four children (older brother and sister deceased) and her youngest brother, Loran Patton, resides in Tahlequah, OK today. She graduated High School in Billings, OK at age seventeen and was salutatorian of her class.

She attended Sisters of St. Joseph School of Nursing in Ponca City and earned her registered nursing degree. In 1952, JoAnn married Doug Hail from Cromwell, OK and he was a petroleum engineer with Skelly Oil. They became parents of three boys, Bruce (wife Anita,) Paul, and Richard (wife Debbie). She enjoyed her three grandchildren, Bryan, Brett and Sarah. JoAnn and family came to Edmond in 1969 where she enjoyed her life as wife, mother, grandmother and was a life-long member of the Methodist Church. Through the years JoAnn and Doug traveled from the east to west coast and collected antiques of all kinds, especially clocks! Service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 23, 2015 at the Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond.
