Jo Ann McLinn
1932-2017
Jo Ann McLinn was born May 4, 1932, in Okeene, Oklahoma to Nellie and Harold Knoetgen. Jo Ann is survived by her husband of 64 years, Kenneth McLinn, son Kirby McLinn and wife Carol Kay, son Bruce McLinn and wife Claire, son Jeff McLinn and Diane Rupe, and daughter Cindy McLinn; 8 grandchildren Kyle, Kory, Olivia, Chase, Rebecca, Caroline, Jessica and Cindy and 3 great-children; her sister Donna Grayson of Colorado Springs. Jo Ann’s greatest joys were gatherings with her family. She was a member of the Oak Tree Women’s Golf Association and Falconhead Ladies Golf Association. She loved the family golf tournaments and her golf trips with her Falconhead Bahama Mamas. She excelled in solving her daily crossword puzzles and cryptoquotes. She was “Sooner bred” and passionate about OU sports of any kind, and was a huge OKC Thunder fan.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Matthews Funeral Chapel with burial at 2:30 p.m. at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, OK.
Aunt Jo is probably the reason I love holidays so much!!! We always celebrated Thanksgiving, Christmas and Fourth of July growing up!!! I remember being so in awe of her Christmas tree and all of her decorating!!! I will miss her laugh!!! I am taking of care of her sweet sister, my momma, who misses her beyond words!!! I love you Aunt Jo!!! Amy
