Jill Lynnae Kahn

1980-2023

Jill Lynnae Combrink Kahn passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023. Simple words cannot come close to describing the truly wonderful life of this beautiful soul. We could make an incredible list of her accomplishments in school, sports, and business, but she did far more than that. Jill Loved.  She loved with all her heart and all her soul. You could see it in her beautiful blue eyes when she smiled at you. You could feel it when she gave you a hug. And it engulfed you the rest of the day.

If you were family, you got to experience this love with her laughter, hugs, and her true passion to make you feel special. Friends felt this by the spontaneous calls and gifts which made you know she truly cared for you. Strangers felt her love just with her incredible smile and unbelievable spirit. Jill was a true gift to all of us. She will forever be missed, but her loving spirit lives through each person she touched.

Jill’s legacy will live on in her husband Mike, whom she taught what true love looks like. She will live on in her wonderful daughter Riley and amazing son Austin, who exude the same joy and love for people that Jill had. She will live on in her Father Gary Combrink and her mother Lindy Combrink who set the example of love that Jill learned from and she will live on in her brother Lance Combrink who is the hero Jill aspired to be. Jill’s light will shine on through all of her extended family and friends who she loved so much.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Oakdale Baptist Church with Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

The funeral service for Jill Kahn can be live streamed by visiting Oakdale Baptist Church Edmond’s Facebook page.

So grateful to have had you in my life. You were like a little sister to me in many ways. I’ve been thinking about all the fun we had as kids…road trips, sleepovers, and riding-out many tornado warnings in the basement of your parents’ home in Enid. There were always snacks and adventures to be had. You had a few scrapes and bruises along the way, but nothing would keep you from making the most of the moment! I watched you grow-up…you were one of my bridesmaids in my wedding, and I can still see you smiling, with your dress shoes kicked to the side, when it was time to have some fun.

You became a wife and a mother, and I can’t think of anyone who did it any better than you. You and Mike would walk into a room, and you could feel an energy shift – nothing but love and fun! I’m so glad your children have that wonderful, loving energy, too…they have learned from the best.

You always looked out for everyone around you, wanting to make sure everyone was part of the fun – undeniably a family trait! You were so special to everyone who knew you, and not everyone can say that. Your energy ALWAYS made an impact in your day-to-day world; I’m not sure how you did it, but you did. We are all better off having been loved by you.

    Love Always,
    Holly
