1959-2021
On Sunday, December 19, 2021, Jill Marie Clapsadle McIntyre passed away at the age of 62. Jill was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, and friend, among the many other titles she held.
Jill was born on June 22, 1959, in Salem, Ohio to Paul and Jean Clapsadle. She was a graduate of East Palestine High School and the Mercy School of Nursing in Canton, Ohio. After graduating, she spent many years serving others as a registered nurse.
As an active volunteer, Jill devoted her time to organizations that supported the troops and veterans, as well as animal rescues. Jill never knew a stranger – she could talk with anyone about anything. If you were one of the lucky people to run across her, you left as friends. She was often caught humming a tune or singing to herself, no matter where she was. Her heart and her life were full of music. Most of all, she loved her family dearly and gave them the world. The most important thing to Jill was her family and she never hesitated to let anyone know.
Jill was preceded in death by her father, Paul Clapsadle, and her mother, Jean Clapsadle. She is survived by her husband Mike McIntyre and three children, Marissa, Leah, and Evan, as well as siblings Rick, Larry, and Mark Clapsadle and their loved ones.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 28th at 2pm at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Mutt Misfits Animal Rescue Society of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. If you knew Jill, you knew she loved animals. This is a cause near and dear to her as many of her most beloved dogs were rescues.
