1948-2018

Janie Pipes, 70, passed away on the morning of Monday, December 10th, 2018 in Edmond.

Janie was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on February 20th, 1948.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in Family Relations and Childhood Development from Oklahoma State University in 1970.  It is at OSU where she met her husband, Paul who she married in 1970.

Janie is survived by her husband Paul of Edmond; her daughter Kelli Mahle and husband Greg of Edmond; her daughter Kim Mitchell and husband Mark, granddaughters Halle and Avery of Edmond; her daughter Kerri Hughes and husband Randy, granddaughter Audrey of Trophy Club, Texas; her sister Judy Pearson of Broken Arrow and brother Larry Warren of Edmond.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and June Warren and brother Steve Warren.

Janie was an avid animal lover, she especially enjoyed spoiling her cats that she had throughout her life; as well as, feeding and watching birds in her backyard.  She also enjoyed sewing, quilting and baking, but her most favorite thing in life was spending time with her three granddaughters.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Thursday, December 13th at 11:00 am at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church Edmond campus.  900 North Sooner Road, Edmond, OK 73034.
