James “Wayne” Sparks
Wayne enlisted into the Army at the age of 17. He finished as Special Forces Green Beret. He was an instructor and master parachutist. He taught reconnaissance methods skiing all over the alps. After returning home, he never wanted to ski again. He did enjoy being stationed in Germany. Wayne married the love of his life Patricia Ann Hall and together they have 6 children. Kim, Kelly, Gerri, Colleen, Joyce, and Jami. In 1995, at 56, Wayne and Pat opened Oklahoma Envelope Company. He was a man’s man. He was a strong man of courage, wisdom, kindness, great love, and always had an unyielding devotion to his family. He always looked for teachable moments. He was a man of many words. There was always more he wanted to tell us. He was an encouraging man that his family looked up to. He was a hard-working man who never gave up on anything or anyone. He had the best stories and always saw positive attributes in everyone. We will never forget his laughter, voice, his love, and his life. He was very patriotic and a sharp dresser. He liked his cigars, hats, and wildlife. We will miss his Christmas speeches, hearty laughter, and loving smile.
