  1. Worked with/for James 15 years at Hiland Chandler. Man taught me a lot, and I will miss his brass, “tell it like it is” demeanor. Prayers for him and his family at this time. Rest in peace James, and I won’t forget ya…

I worked with James for many many years. I am going to miss him so much. I had nothing but respect and genuine affection for him. You never had to wonder where you stood with him – he was more than willing to tell you 🙂

    RIP James

James knew my father and our family for many years. When I joined Hiland, I had the opportunity to get to know him much better. He has helped me understand the plant process and all the opportunities that come with it. He is well known as a dependable industry leader and we all will miss him going forward. I also realize he was a mentor to many and they will continue to represent him in the future. Rest in peace my friend and God be with you & your family / friends.

James was my neighbor across the street when I was a kid. That’s how I met his son Drew who has been one of my best friends my entire life. James was a great neighbor to have growing up. Always friendly and encouraging and fun to be around. I have very fond memories of James. He was a great man.

  7. James and I met when we both had children at the Northwest YMCA in San Antonio, Texas. The year was 1970. We both had boys in the Y programs. As we progressed through our years with the boys in sports we learned a lot about each other and our families. The one thing I learned about Jim is that he definitely had an opinion as it related to sports. He showed a great deal of consideration toward me and my opinion as it related to a number of things as we grew to know each other. If there was one thing I always believed is that Jim had my back at all times and I had his. The number of thing that stands out when I think about Jim is he had great character, honesty, and always played by the rules. Event though, we were apart in geography, i always believed he would be there for me if i needed him. A TRUE friend that I loved. Rest in peace my friend.
