James P. Howard
December 11, 1948 – May 28, 2015
James “Jim/Jimmy/Paco” Howard left this earthly world unexpectedly and much too soon on Thursday, May 28, 2015. Jim was a beloved husband, brother, father and grandfather and an avid golfer. Born on December 11, 1948 in Oklahoma City to Otis and Jeanne (Goodman) Howard, Jim leaves behind his heartbroken family: wife, Angela; children Beth (Jim) Eells and Eric (Kim) Howard; brother Ed Howard, sister Peggy (Larry) Denny, granddaughters Kara and Mia, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Jim worked for Southwestern Bell for 25 years before retiring to pursue his work with his company DESC Inc, a labor of love and necessity emerging from the tragic bombing of the Murrah Building on April 19, 1995. Jim was known for his dry wit and his way of needling you in an attempt to start a debate that you were sure to lose. He loved his family, golfing, fishing, and Vegas and especially his home on Grand Lake. A viewing will be held at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2015. A graveside service will be held at the Moore Cemetery, 800 SW 4th St., Moore, Oklahoma at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2015.
Angela and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
