James Eric Hayes
1949 – 2019
James Eric Hayes, 69, of Edmond, OK passed away on February 8, 2019. He was born on August 8, 1949 in Fort Bragg, NC to Harold Everett & Erna Lucille (Knapp) Hayes. He received a Bachelors in Computer Science at Central State University and spent his career as an application developer. He was also an Oracle Certified Database Administrator. James loved fishing, camping, spending time with family and spoiling his grandchildren.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Erna Hayes and daughter, Sara. He is survived by his children, Megan Hayes, Shawn Hayes and wife Tabatha, Michael Hayes and wife Angie; grandsons, Parker Hayes and Jackson Hayes.
Public visitation will be held Wednesday, February 13th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
