James Donald Boyce

1955-2015

Boyce, James DonaldJames Boyce passed away on May 17, 2015, at his home. Jim was born February 12, 1955, at the old Edmond Hospital, located above the Broncho Theater in downtown Edmond. He lived all his life in Edmond, attend public schools, and in recent times, he lived in Southern Logan County on Midwest Blvd, near his church, Faith Baptist Church. In earlier years when Edmond started to grow, Jim put in many yards around town. He also detailed automobiles at Craig Ayers dealership. He also worked for a contractor and helped build the Edmond Medical Building at 2nd and Bryant. He did all the initial landscaping around that building. More recently, he did maintenance at Lou’s mobile home park on Midwest Blvd. Jim is survived by his parents, Donald and Darlene Boyce of Edmond; an older brother, Steve Boyce of Ann Arbor, Michigan; four sisters: Kathy Ryder of Corpus Christi, TX, Laurie Huston of Bethany, Cindy and her husband Rev. Keith Rogers of Buncom Creek, Lake Texhoma, and Mary Boyce of Edmond, OK; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. A private memorial service will be held for family, friends, and church members at the Faith Baptist Church on Sunday, May 31, 2015, at 4 p.m.
