James Clifford Robbins

September, 5 1938 – July, 29 2021

James C. Robbins went to be with his Heavenly Father July 29, 2021.  James was born in Habersham, TN to James Clyde Hendren and Maude Thompson Robbins.

James’ greatest joy was having his family around him, especially during the holidays.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Charlotte McCullah Robbins and his three children Brian Robbins of Oklahoma City, Mary Robbins Haler and husband Randy of Sanger, TX and Teresa Robbins Reed and husband Robert of Edmond.

James had eight grandchildren, Patrick Robbins and Holly Shock of Salt Lake City, UT, Alex Haler of Shawnee, Eric Haler of Edmond, Ryan and Svetlana Haler of Guthrie, James Druart, Alicia and Megan Reed of Edmond. He is also survived by his sister Gladys Reynolds and brother John Hendren of LaFollette, TN.

James was a Vietnam veteran and served in the U.S. Army for 20 years and an additional 14 years as a DoD civilian. His numerous military awards include the Silver Star for gallantry in action, the Bronze Star for heroic achievement and the Purple Heart.

Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. with family present from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond, OK
