James C. DuBoise
1937 – 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of James Carroll DuBoise announces his passing on Friday, November 16, 2018, at the age of 81.
James will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Guyann and his children, Jamey DuBoise, Teresa (Mark) Warren, and Melissa (Lynn) Kernodle. James will also be fondly remembered by his 6 grandchildren, Samantha, Frankie, Ali, Mack, Audrey, and Evan. James was predeceased by his brother Stephen DuBoise, and his parents Clarence and Ruby Lee DuBoise of Norman.
A visitation will be held Monday, November 19, from 6-8 pm. at Matthews Funeral Home, 601 S Kelly Ave., Edmond.
A Funeral Service in memory of James will be held on Tuesday, November 20, at 10am., Edmond Church of Christ, 801 S Bryant Ave., Edmond.
Interment will follow at 2:00 pm., at the IOOF Cemetery, 1913 N Porter, Norman.
I knew the Duboise family at the University Church of Christ in Norman, OK. My family were members there. I was Ruby’s helper when she taught Bible classes. I dearly loved her and thought her youngest son was so sweet and handsome. James was a months younger than me. I have not seen James in probably 60 years but when my sister and I talk about growing up in Norman and attending church we remember the Duboise family. I’m sad that he has left you all but we know he is in Heaven with his parents and other family plus many friends. May God give you comfort.
