James A. (Jim) Yocum

 

James (Jim) Yocum, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away July 19, 2015 at the age of 78. He was born on June 7, 1937 in Booneville, Arkansas to the late Argy and Lois Hayes Yocum of Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was the oldest of four siblings, two of which preceded him in death: Donald Yocum of Bloomfield, NM; and Kenneth Yocum of Ft. Smith, AR. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Sue, of the home; by his sister, Gloria Jean of Ft. Smith, AR; and two children, Dale Yocum and Cindy Davis, along with her husband, Glen, of Yukon, OK. Jim is also survived by four grandchildren and their spouses: Jacob & Penny Davis (with soon to be first great-grandchild) of Oklahoma City; Ben and Jill Pfeffer of Charlottesville, VA; Danny and Kelsey Davis of Oklahoma City; and Jed and Taylor Davis of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews.

Jim was a respected and loved businessman in Edmond, OK for nearly 40 years. He was an avid antique car enthusiast. Jim loved God, family and friends. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial services will be held at the Memorial Rd. church of Christ on Wednesday, July 22 at 11:00 AM.
