To Jackie’s family–One of the first students that I met my freshman year at Baylor University was Jackie(1966). Though I had not seen him since graduation his accomplishments fulfilled his personality. May the family find comfort through their faith and the memories left to cherish.

Our sincere sympathy to Patti, Darren’s family, and Brendan’s family. I know how precious Jackie was to you all. I will always hold dear the memories of spending my summer months with the Durrett family; I was his first cousin, but he was like a little brother to me. Jackie was always a fine Christian and he continued his journey through life never wavering. Jackie lived his life bravely, faithfully and cheerfully and was well prepared to live his life immortally. God’s Blessings be upon you. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18 “Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

The Durrett ‘s have been a part of the Edmond Springhill neighborhood family for many years. We were lucky enough to be a neighbor of theirs for over 21 years and got to know Jackie & Patti. We watched as Darren & Brendan grew up and became adults and saw how proud Jackie was of his family. It was a sad day when we moved from the neighborhood. Jackie was a Baylor Bear through & through and was proud of his heritage. He was one of the most honest and kind men I’ve ever known. We are all better people for having known Jackie Durrett. Our sincere condolences and sympathy to the entire Durrett family.

  11. May God Bless you all during this time… Jackie Paul was a such a kind cousin! I will always cherish the time spent in Crockett with all the Durrett Family!
Precious memories; always to be treasured and thankful for.
My prayers for Patti, Darren and family, Brenden and family.
    With Love
    Sondra Beeson Dickman
