Irma Wood-Lee was born December 31, 1930, the eldest of five children, to Clyde and Ella Hunter Treece. She married Ray Wood, Jr. of Luther in 1946. One daughter, Linda Rae Wood, was born August 3, 1947. Ray, Irma, and Linda were members of the Britton Road Church of Christ, where Ray served as an Elder from 1987 until his passing in 1990. Irma was a homemaker, active in Linda’s school activities. She worked for General Electric and Lucent Technologies. In 2000, Irma married Bob Lee of Edmond, and they attended the Edmond Church of Christ. Bob passed away in 2004. Irma and Linda eventually moved to Autumn Leaves Memory Care in Edmond in February 2014.
Irma was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dolores Cooley and Leatha Steele; and two brothers, Denzel and Gordon Treece. She is survived by her daughter Linda Wood; two sisters-in-law; several cousins; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015, at the Edmond Church of Christ Chapel at 11:00 a.m. The services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond, OK.
The family is grateful for the excellent care provided by the Autumn Leaves staff and the nurses of Sooner Hospice, the services conducted by Kent Risely and Kevin Rayner of the Edmond Church of Christ, Matthews Funeral Home, and Memorial Park Cemetery. We thank you for making a difficult time bearable. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Search Program at the Edmond Church of Christ, or charity of choice.

I am very sorry to learn that Irma Lee has passed. She Dolores and Leatha will be together now. I loved those three girls. Pattie
We were so sorry to hear of Irma’s passing. We served with them at the Britton Road and Edmond Church of Christ. They were always so active in personal work and an encouragement to all of us. May God bless Linda in the loss of her mother.
