cline obit picIrene Cline, 90, became an angel on our shoulder on May 25, 2013. She was born January 23, 1923, in Centerville, Iowa to Ira Williamson and Flora Hoover Williamson. She graduated from high school in Mystic, Iowa, and later attended Business College in Davenport, Iowa. On October 28, 1945, Irene married the love of her life, Chester Cline, at a small gathering in her parents’ home. She made her home in Oklahoma City in 1960, moving to Edmond, Oklahoma in 1996. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Edmond, and the Order of the Eastern Star.  Irene was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Robert, Verne and Howard Williamson. She is survived by her husband, Chester Cline, of the home; two daughters and son-in-laws, Karen and Mike Dixon of Edmond, and Joyce and Greg Wallace, of Little Axe, OK; two grandchildren, Edward Dixon and Katherine (Katie) Irene Wallace; nephews, nieces and other loving family.  A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 305 E. Hurd, Edmond, on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. The family will greet friends and have visitation at Matthews Funeral Home, 601 S. Kelly, Edmond, from 6 to 8 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday evening.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Edmond or Wesley United Methodist Church, Oklahoma City.
