Barber, HylandHyland Delores Barber passed away on February 26, 2020. Hyland was born in Beech Grove, Indiana on August 28, 1942 to Emmett and Helen Baldridge. Hyland graduated from Thomas Edison High School in Tulsa, OK. She was married to the love of her life Dwayne Barber in 1977. She is preceded in death by her husband Dwayne, her parents and her sister Charlotte Huckaby.
She is survived by her children Teresa(Michael) Bennett of Pensacola, Florida and Carolyn(Tony) Dempewolf, of Edmond Oklahoma, her 2 grandchildren Bayley and Blake Dempewolf, her two siblings Mitch Baldridge and Carolyn Huggard both of Pensacola, Florida and her many nieces and nephews whom she so dearly loved.
Hyland loved her pets she had throughout her life: Prissy, Tiki, and her most recent companion Abby.
She started out her professional life in Tulsa as a florist with her first husband Larry Beal, father of Terry and Carolyn. Hyland moved to Edmond Oklahoma in 1976 where she was to marry Dwayne Barber.  She worked at T. G. and Y. business offices for many years. Hyland finished her professional career working for the University of Central Oklahoma in the Financial Aid department where she was a favorite friend and counsel to so many of the students attending there.  She retired in 2007 to spend many special years with her retired husband Dwayne before his passing in 2012.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 6, 2020 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, OK.
