He attended Norfolk High School where he lettered in football, basketball, and golf. In basketball Bill was voted All-Conference and All-State Honorable Mention. He attended Creighton University on basketball scholarships. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1954.
That same year he went to work for IBM. He later became a sales manager for Litton Industries for the southeastern region of the Unites States promoting their Monroe.bot desk computer. At age 29 he entered the life insurance business and continued that up until his passing.
Bill married the love of his life D’Ette Remender in 1953. Their union was blessed with 3 children, Tom, Julie and Scott. He is preceded in death by his wife D’Ette, his daughter Julie and his son-in-law Kevin Kanaly. He is survived by his sons Tom and Scott, his 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
