William Hans Unbehaun
1948-2022
William Hans Unbehaun, also known as “Bill,” “Dad,” and “Grandpa,” was born on Wednesday, March 3, 1948 and went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 24, 2022. Born in Richland Center, Wisconsin, Bill’s growing-up years were spent in a few towns between Wisconsin and Minnesota. He spent his high school years in northwestern Wisconsin, where he met his wife, Nancy L. Wyatt. They had three children and quite the adventurous life, living in several states including Wisconsin, Texas, and Oklahoma. While Bill’s profession centered around logistics, he had a passion for music and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. He enjoyed learning and was an avid reader and loved watching documentaries on Abraham Lincoln, the Civil War, and the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Bill had a zest for the Word of God and would regularly scour the Scriptures for answers to questions he or his family had. And, as much as he relished his studies, he was even more eager to share everything he learned with those around him.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Unbehaun; sister Beverly Riesberg, brother Chuck (Joann) Unbehaun of Plano, Texas, brother Joseph Unbehaun of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, brother Carl (Jane) Unbehaun of Thief River Falls, Minnesota, and brother Steve (Doreen) Unbehaun of Appleton, Wisconsin; his children, Gabriel and Joanna Unbehaun of Newland, North Carolina, Michael and Xanth Unbehaun of Lago Vista, Texas, and Bethany and Nathan Thompson of Edmond, Oklahoma. Bill is survived by 10 grandchildren: Liv, Trinity, Ella, Kaydence, Calym, Alastair, Rainer, Xander, Josie, and Garrison; and many nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held.
